El Ministerio de Educación (MINERD), a través de la Dirección de Informática Educativa, y el Despacho de la Primera Dama, entregaron 12 kits de robótica educativa al Centro de Atención Integral para la Discapacidad (CAID) para las áreas de Intervención Conductual y Apoyo Psicopedagógico.
La directora de Informática Educativa, Claudia Rita Abreu, al hacer la entrega en el Salón Multiusos del CAID, indicó que esa tecnología permite la inclusión porque va al ritmo de cada persona, de una manera individual y grupal.
«En la parte pedagógica, en todos los sentidos, hacía falta un instrumento donde los niños empiecen a ver de manera tangible y constructivista toda la teoría que recibimos en las clases», dijo Abreu.
Abreu explicó que la entrega consta de ocho kits, que son parte del software, y cuatro de piezas adicionales, «porque el proyecto es constructivo y se va agrandando». Los equipos están enfocados en niños desde los cuatro a nueve años de edad.
Moisés Taveras, director del CAID, en nombre de la primera dama, Cándida Montilla de Medina, expresó su satisfacción por el apoyo que ese Despacho ha recibido del MINERD.
“Hemos tenido al principio del proyecto un vínculo muy estrecho, solidario y comprometido del Ministerio de Educación hacia el CAID; siempre que tocamos las puertas está a nuestra disposición y hoy, precisamente, es un ejemplo fiel del cumplimiento de esos acuerdos que previamente ya se establecieron”, aseguró Taveras.
Explicó que esa tecnología aplicada a la educación, al desarrollo de programas y procedimientos que aceleren el proceso de aprendizaje y hagan más entretenido el proceso de enseñanza de los niños, fundamentalmente con discapacidad, ha encontrado en el MINERD un apoyo para ser aplicado en la labor docente de ese centro.
